Byng Street
A main objective of this project was to make all changes blend in so as to be unnoticeable in the lovely Cotswold Cottage design of this house. This was done on the exterior by carefully scaling the various dormers and additions to the existing and by replicating all the materials and details, such as windows and eaves. On the interior, the kitchen was moved to the rear of the house, partially in a new addition, new windows improved the living room, and an additional bedroom was created upstairs in a former attic. Through all this, the circulation of the house was improved and its wonderful ambience was preserved.
